Our Story
The owners and operators of Manotick Gardens & Landscaping Supplies are Richard and Shirley who bring more than 30 years of experience in landscape construction to the business. As a family business, we understand how gardens and gardening bring families and neighbourhoods together.
In the spring of 2000, we opened our business (then called Green Acres). Originally, we focused on growing and selling annuals, trees, shrubs and perennials, along with some landscaping supplies. What we discovered was that Canada’s capital region is full of people who love to garden and create backyard landscapes. Our Ottawa landscaping supplies business boomed. Now, nearly 20 years since we first envisioned our business, Manotick Gardens & Landscaping Supplies covers 4 acres and supplies many of Ottawa’s organic growers, landscaping contractors and avid home gardeners with high-quality plants, soil, mulch, natural stone and much more.
Garden Centre: Annuals, Perennials & Custom Baskets
We still cherish our roots as a garden centre, growing and selling annuals, herbs, vegetables and other plants. If you’re looking for distinctive and unique perennials or shrubs to be the mainstays of your garden, you’ll find them at our Garden Centre too! Successful gardening requires the right soil, fertilizers and other supplies for healthy plants – and you’ll find those in our store as well.
Manotick Gardens and Landscaping Supplies also creates custom hanging baskets and containers. Just tell us what colour scheme appeals to you and how much sun the containers will get – and we’ll put together a robust arrangement that will light up a patio or an entrance with colour throughout the spring, summer and fall.
